BEING A JOYFUL MAN OF GOD

October 4-6, 2024

Pine Valley Men’s Conference is designed to allow men to step out of their current context, encounter Biblical teaching, and interact with other men on the same journey. We provide space for church groups to gather and process as a small group as well as a number of activities for men coming on their own.

 

Individuals, Sunday School classes, men’s groups, father and son(s) (ages 12 and older), are all invited and we encourage you to bring your friends with whom the Christian faith is new or unfamiliar as there will be a clear gospel presentation.

Speaker: Scott Smith

Scott is married to his best friend, Robyn.  They have two kids and live in San Diego, CA, where he currently serves a church there.  He has served in ministry for over 20 years, leading at all levels.  He has served on Senior Leadership and Teaching Teams at some of the largest, fastest-growing churches in the country.  He regularly coaches ministry leaders and is passionate about helping leaders thrive.  He holds degrees in Counseling, several Seminary degrees, as well as the Doctor of Ministry in Leadership.  Scott has held a lot of titles over the years, but his favorites are “Robyn’s husband” and “Dad”.  You can learn more about Scott at www.scottsmithmessages.com

Worship Team: Josh Fuhr & Dylan Smith

Josh is a Production Director and Worship Leader for the Grove Church in San Diego.  Prior to this, he served on staff at Shadow Mountain Community Church.  He is a graduate of San Diego Christian College, and a native of San Diego, CA.  He is married to his wife, Sarah, a teacher, and the two serve as Life Group leaders at their church together.

Dylan currently serves as the Connections Director at Sonrise Church in Santee, CA.  Prior to this, he was the Programming Coordinator for Student & College Ministries at Shadow Mountain Community Church.  He is a graduate of San Diego Christian College, and he is originally from the Los Angeles area.  He is married to his wife, Rene, who serves with a Christian Youth Theatre company.  They both serve on the worship team at their church.

FRIDAY OCTOBER 4

3pm – Check-in at Fireside

3-5pm – Basketball, Volleyball, Pickleball, Lawn Games, Coffee & Gift Shop Open

5:15-6:45pm – Dinner

7pm – Greeting & Worship in Taylor

8:15-9:45pm – Laser Tag in Worthington, Hayrides, Night Hike (meet at Main Office), Grill, Coffee & Gift Shop Open

SATURDAY OCTOBER 5

5:30-7:45am – Coffee Shop Opens

6:00am – Guided Hike (Meet @ Office) or Rappelling (Meet @ Outback Fire Circle)

8:00am – Breakfast

9:15am – Session 1 in Taylor

10:45am-12pm – Zipline, Pine Climb, Self-Serve Rec, Coffee & Gift Shop Open

12:15pm – Lunch

1:30 – Session 2 in Taylor

3:00-5:30pm – Tournaments & Zipline

3:30-4:30pm – Grill, Coffee & Gift Shop Open, Optional Seminar

5:45pm – Dinner & Tournament Winners Presentation

7:00pm – Session 3 in Taylor

8:15-9:45pm – Laser Tag in Worthington, Hayrides, Grill, Coffee & Gift Shop Open, Campfire & Smores @ Outback Fire Circle

SUNDAY OCTOBER 6

5:30-8:15am – Coffee Shop Opens

6:00am – Rappelling (Meet @ Outback Fire Circle)

8:30am – Morning devotions in Taylor

9:30am – Brunch

10:30am-12pm  – Check Out & Depart or Optional Rec: Zipline & Pine Climb

* Must wear closed toe shoes for all recreation.
