Men’s Conference

September 29 – October 1, 2023

“FIGHT”

Winning the Battles that Matter Most

In this new season many of us find ourselves, there are things that will determine the state of your life and the relationships that you are entrusted with. It will require everything in you to be the warrior God has created you to be; to FIGHT the battles that matter most. We be looking at different men in the Bible. And learning from some that knew how to FIGHT.

Pine Valley Men’s Conference is designed to allow men to step out of their current context, encounter Biblical teaching, and interact with other men on the same journey. We provide space for church groups to gather and process as a small group as well as a number of activities for men coming on their own.

Individuals, Sunday School classes, men’s groups, father and son(s) (ages 12 and older), are all invited and we encourage you to bring your friends with whom the Christian faith is new or unfamiliar as there will be a clear gospel presentation.

Please check out the tentative schedule below as we are changing things up this year!

Miguel De La Mora

Speaker: Miguel De La Mora

Miguel De La Mora is originally from San Diego, CA. He has been in full time ministry since 2002. Today, he is on the Executive Team & a Teaching Pastor at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago, IL. He has been married since 2006 to his wife Janelle and they have five beautiful children. Miguel loves to spend time with his family, workout, shout when he watches football (Go Chargers!), watch movies, and travel to speak & share the love of Jesus with all who will hear.

Amy-Grover

Worship Leader: Kekoa & Amy Grover

Kekoa and Amy Grover began their ministry in the spring of 2011, leading worship for Shadow Mountain Community Church Sr. High Ministry, The Gathering.  Through their collective twenty-plus years at Shadow Mountain, they have led worship, planted a church, worked in Production, and served at both the Encinitas and Alpine campuses.  In addition to serving locally, Kekoa has had a long tenure of camp ministry experience, working with Hume Lake Christian Camps for over a decade.  Both Amy & Kekoa hold undergraduate music degrees, with Amy earning her Master’s in Worship Arts from Cal Baptist University and Kekoa currently enrolled in Southern California Seminary.  Kekoa currently serves as Campus Pastor for the Shadow Mountain Community Church Alpine Campus, and Amy serves alongside him as Alpine Campus’ worship director.  Understanding that worship is the believer’s response to God’s revelation in their lives, Kekoa & Amy long to create a space where believers can fully respond to His leading through authentic worship.
