Special Dietary Request Form

The Food Services Department desires to provide fresh, high-quality, well-rounded meals to meet the needs of every guest that stays at our facilities. We understand that in today’s world that often involves special dietary needs. At each meal, our Food Services Department provides some substitute/alternate food options for the five special dietary needs listed below. Individuals with restrictive or medical dietary needs may have fewer options due to limited resources available to the Food Services Department. Bringing your own food is encouraged and recommended.

To meet special dietary needs advance communication is very important. The Special Diet Request Form must be completed and submitted at least ONE WEEK in advance of your stay If you have restrictive or medical dietary needs and choose to bring your own food, we can provide storage space in the Dining Hall refrigerator (space is limited). Please know we will do everything in our power to serve you well during your stay.

Food Allergy & Special Dietary Action Plan:

Our Food Services Staff is able to accommodate those with special dietary needs in two ways:

1) providing variety in the menu from which they may choose,

2) making limited substitutions for some (not all) menu items.

Food Services Department can accommodate the following five* special dietary needs:

  • dairy-free – allergic to dairy products
  • egg-free – allergic to egg products
  • gluten free – allergic to gluten products
  • nut-free – allergic to peanut or tree nut products
  • vegetarian – no beef, pork, or poultry (can eat dairy & eggs)

Soy, almond, and coconut milk are available at breakfast and upon request for lunch and dinner.

*Please note that if a guest with a combination of these needs, other allergies not listed, or restrictive and medical dietary needs may not be accommodated even with advanced notice.  Guests with Vegan restrictions are welcome to choose from the items prepared and bring their own supplemental items. We will be more than happy to store some items for guests in the kitchen, typically 2 to 3 days’ worth.  FSD is not responsible for perishable food items or spoilage.
