Pine Valley Men’s Conference is designed to allow men to step out of their current context, encounter Biblical teaching , and interact with other men on the same journey. We provide space for church groups to gather and process as a small group as well as a number of activity and workshop options for men coming on their own. Here are some of the things we seek to excel at:
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Erik moved to Omaha while in the Air Force. And it was through a faithful co-worker that God brought the gospel to him. Pastoral ministry became the clear priority for Erik after graduating from Grace University in 2002. He served as a pastoral-intern and later as an Assistant Pastor at Omaha Bible Church from 2002-2010 before leading the church planting efforts for Emmaus. Along with other like minded area pastors, Erik began The Omaha Gospel Network which later became The Omaha Chapter of The Gospel Coalition. This network strives to promote gospel-centered ministry in the region. Erik regularly contributes to several publications including Ligonier, Tabletalk, 9Marks, & For the Church. His blog, Ordinary Pastor, is hosted by The Gospel Coalition and features regular articles and book reviews. He is the author of Gospel-Shaped Outreach to help churches to create a disciple-making culture and Chasing Contentment: Trusting God in a Discontented Age, and Is Hell for Real?
Erik enjoys spending time with his best friend and wife Christie, as well as their 6 children; Bryce, Luke, Alaynah, Alexis, Zoë, and Bo. Some hobbies include reading, writing, fitness and being active in his neighborhood association. You will often find Erik cruising around Mid-Town and South Omaha in a bicycle lane.
The Robinson brothers are committed to serving and edifying the local church through musical worship with the goal of raising up and strengthening The Church to be authentic worshippers and relentless senders of the Gospel to the unreached around the world. Nathan Robinson, with brothers Ben and Seth had the privilege of growing up as missionary kids among the Lwam people in Papua New Guinea. From their earliest memories, they can recall seeing God bring the power and light of the Gospel into the dark corners of this animistic culture. After experiencing the Gospel themselves as young boys, it was clear that living for the sake of the Gospel was the only option. During these years music became a clear passion for each of them. Upon returning to the U.S. after high school, the Robinson brothers began using their gifts to serve their sending church, Clairemont Emmanuel. Nathan has been the Worship Pastor there for the past 15 years. They are each married with 8 kids between them.
