Ascent High School Junior-Staff Program

Ascent High School Program is for mature Christian High School students (those who have completed 9th grade through those who are going into 12th) who desire to grow in their faith and participate in a mission-minded service opportunity. The students are given the opportunity to lead as Junior-Staff and work directly with our camps and ministries.  Ascent students will be mentored by a team of summer staff that will model ministry and leadership. They will be given opportunities to step up and make an impact through Spiritual and hands on leadership.

Service to others is seen as a primary focus and benefit of the program.  Students will be given the opportunity to lead games and activities for children and youth, be the hands and feet of Jesus, serve guests, and work in various departments such as program, recreation, maintenance, housekeeping and food service. While part of Ascent, you may be given opportunities to lead devotions, partner with our program and recreation team, and meet with mentors for encouragement while making a lasting impact.

Interested students must go through an application/interview process to be considered.  The cost for this mission and service experience is based on the number of nights and meals. Cost includes all meals, lodging, and summer staff activities.  Additional money can be brought and used for the coffee shop, gift shop or off-camp outings.

Register & Promote

Ascent Camp is for high school students (completed 9th and those who are going into 12th grade).  Occasional exceptions may be made for service-minded college students who have more limited days in their summer in which to serve.  Criteria for selection include willingness to serve, demonstrated Christian character, how early the completed application is received, and staffing needs.

Applications are considered incomplete and will not be considered for acceptance until all parts are received.
