is an exciting new tent camp for teens designed to focus on spiritual renewal and personal growth. Base Camp was developed out of our desire to minister to teens who want to experience God in a more personal way. With a rustic setting and unplugged atmosphere, there are plenty of opportunities to take your walk with God to a deeper, more intimate level.
More about Base Camp …
Community
Intimacy is the operative word in Pine Valley’s new Base Camp. Each group experience will be limited to 60 campers. Weekly groups will focus on building relationships with each other and with God. Venturing to work, live and worship together in these God-centered surroundings creates tight friendships with fellow campers and awakens a desire to know the Creator better. The anticipated result from a week at Base Camp is a tangible impact on each teen’s life. The experience of being so close to nature and each other promises to transform attitudes and perspectives.
Perspective
Base Campers can expect to experience a distinctive environment different from other, more traditional camps Pine Valley has offered in the past. Matchless surroundings, a rustic atmosphere, and a touch of adventure bring campers closer to nature in more ways than ever before. This intentional approach is geared to help teens get away from what is comfortable and familiar. At Base Camp, teens will be able to have an unencumbered focus on their relationship with their God.
Simplicity
Getting back to the basics is what Base Camp is all about - embracing the adventure of outdoor living, taking on conditions a bit more rugged than usual, and resting in the awesome beauty of God’s nature. The adventure will be enhanced by the absence of all modern conveniences. Well, maybe not all. Campers may still use deodorant and toothpaste, and are encouraged to do so. But remember, Base Camp is an authentic, back to nature, one-with-the-land, “Yeah, we went camping!” kind of camp.
Transformation
Every day Base Camp campers will be challenged to do something that is not easy and may even be uncomfortable. As a group and as individuals, campers will have tasks to complete and challenges to accomplish. Each endeavor is structured to build character, stretch boundaries, and enable them to learn more about our limitless God. By the end of the week, teens will be astounded by what they have learned about themselves and what they were able to achieve.
